Welcome! I am an assistant professor in the School of Accountancy & MIS at DePaul University. I earned my undergraduate degree in accounting at DePaul and am a CPA. Prior to pursuing my doctorate at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, I was in the finance and accounting leadership development (FALD) program at Navistar International and was an auditor at Grant Thornton. I have experience with financial reporting and auditing across public, non-profit, manufacturing, and technology organizations. I am an AICPA Accounting Doctoral Scholar and a recipient of the Access to Audit Personnel Grant from the Center for Audit Quality. My research examines how interpersonal dynamics influence corporate governance and audit quality. I teach introduction to accounting and data analytics.
In my "free time" I enjoy hanging out with my dog and husband and partaking in assorted activities to keep my heart rate down. This includes all things food (gardening, listening to the Home Cooking podcast, watching the Great British Bake Off and Top Chef, exploring Bib Gourmand restaurants, and trying new Smitten Kitchen recipes), yoga, and various aerobic activities. |
